Event Medical Consultancy

Our senior team at GWAS have experience in event consultancy from initial consultation and assisting organisors to put together the Event Medical Plan and arranging the best cover for your budgets for solo staff to events with 100 medical staff. Events we have worked on include VELO BIRMINGHAM, TOUR OF BRITAIN, TOUR SERIES, SANDBANK BEACH POLO, WARWICKSHIRE & QUEEN MOTHERS POLO CUPS, GLOUCESTERSHIE FESTIVAL OF POLO and over a thousand events over the last 10 years - With proven event experience with competitors / attendance of 10 - 15,000.

Sport Medics UK

GWAS Ambulance is a leading Sports Medical Provider with staff all holding or working towards post graduation sports medicine diplomas with a vast array of cpd courses & experience, the staff we send are specialists in sports injuries not just basic EMTs or Paramedics.

We have on our books FIFA recognised medical professional holding Diplomas in Sport Medicine. We also have trained Anti-Doping Advisors via the UCI, UKAD and WADA to ensure any medications given are legal and fit with Global DRO.

Set Medics UK

We understand SETEQUETTE and the working process of the TV and Media industry, as such our staff always have the right equipment to remain on set, to work with the producer and 1st AD to ensure the talent and crew are well looked after from a welfare point at all times.

We work closely with our production clients ensuring a seamless intergration of our Set Medics into the production team and to boot our CEO is an Equity Member.

The Team Behind GWAS

GWAS is an Experienced Team

GWAS is a Veteran & Family owned company and run by husband and wife team Jayne & Gary.

Following their service in the Military and then the NHS, they set up GWAS with the help of the RBL Poppy Factory & Walking with the wounded and to this day still mainly employ service leavers and have been awarded the Silver ERS award.

Today they, along with an experienced executive & non-executive board continue to push boundries and ensure they are always ahead of the clinical curve on new and enhanced medical techniques helping to shape pre-hospital care.

We are looking always to partner with inovinative industry partners and start-ups bringing new products to market with-in the medical and events markets.

GWAS is an Experienced Team

We have a managment team that has over 50 years of experience in pre-hospital and emergency care, events and event management.

Providing cover ranging from local sporting events to UCI world tour road racing and International sporting events such as Karate, Judo, Rugby, Polo, Cricket, Hockey and Cycling.

Although GWAS specialises in Polo and Cycling, we of course cover all types of sporting, non-sporting, local and national events.

We always give clients 100% and ensure that their events are as safe as they can be.

Using Set Medics UK is ran by GWAS Independent Ambulance Service Ltd which as a much larger parent company, should give far more piece of mind to our clients and as a bigger supplier then most in the film and tv industry. As such e have access to a much wider & larger range of staff, right across the UK.

Local Medics for local shoots is key to sustainability.

Set Medics UK's CEO is an Equity Member giving even further peace of mind that we are a highly experienced in TV & media unit medical cover.
